For patients with physical limitations and disabilities, it can get troublesome in finding a right transportation service for their needs. Often, such patients may need to be using a wheelchair and a journey for their appointments may not include a vehicle with proper means to accommodate a wheelchair. This often leads to delayed appointments or longer waiting periods for such patients.

At Care Transit, we have the latest, fully equipped Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs) and ambulatory. These vehicles feature special designs or modifications, which can rightly accommodate patients in wheelchairs. Not just wheelchairs, these vehicles are also capable of comfortably accommodating any kind of mobility device. Thus, such patients can secure a comfortable and safe journey with our WAVs. The wheelchair-accommodating features in these vehicles make it easy for users to enter, exit and travel in the vehicle with their mobility devices. We have further ensured that all of our vehicles are compliant with safety and mechanical operating and maintenance standards. Our vehicles possess the approval of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations, Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) licensing requirements and safety standards.

• Automatic and Manual Ramps:

  These WAVs are incorporated with automatic or manual ramps, which can provide a smooth transition for wheelchair users when they enter and exit the vehicle. These ramps are on the side-entry or rear-entry, depending on different vehicle configurations.

• Eating and Dining Facilities:

  Although these WAVs are primarily designed for transportation and mobility, our WAVs can also be set up to provide some comfort to our patients during longer trips. Small eating and dining setups can be arranged inside the vehicles so that our patients with mobility devices can easily have their meals during the trip.

• Compliant Vehicles:

  Care Transit’s vehicles are compliant with safety and mechanical operating and maintenance standards. In this regard, we have the approval of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations, Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) licensing requirements and safety standards.
